Tarot Tuesdays (on Wednesday)

Initially, I started working on this blog to catalog all the cards I had already been working through on my twitter account every Tuesday. I just had finished the first post about The Hanged Man and I clicked save but not publish and squarespace promptly reverted my writing back to the sample text from the template I had chosen. I am feeling a little discouraged. No one likes to get their work deleted! What I’m receiving from this little setback is that I need to approach this in a different way. So here I go!

What I’ve learned from The Suspended Person/Hanged Man card can adequately be applied to this very situation. Tarot is an invitation and The Suspended Person is a call to a gentle surrender. A pause on actions, ideas, patterns, and often, certain routines. I often find myself thinking the easiest way is what I’ve done before. “Tried and true, get you through!” However, the Hanged Man is strung up and forced to really address their surroundings and what has led them up to this point. If we don’t take stock of our values, actions, goals, and routines, on a regular basis, the universe will find a way to make sure some speed bumps are there to slow you down for the greater good.

I find Tarot and astrology too as just tools of nuance. “Take what resonates and leave the rest”. We don’t have room to fully absorb, hold, and understand every single thing we come into contact with. Which is why we’re granted moments of pause to shuffle, suss out, and consider everything we interact with to see what truly serves us. These can be great moments of little trials. What works? What doesn’t? Ultimately, what is going to push your forward, but with ease!

Today, I am making sure to take stock of that. I ate a good breakfast, I am catching up with some friends, picking up yoga again and making sure to get some vitamin D on my mask covered face. I get to sign papers on Friday for a new art space with one of the dearest friends that hopefully some of you lovely friends can come see in the coming month. Today, I pause to be grateful. I hope you can too.

xx
