Five of Wands

Traditionally the Five of Wands signals unending adversity and conflict. Everyone needing to be heard, yet no one is capable of listening. There is no promise of moving forward when we can’t make space for one another.

Tarot is always about opportunity, it’s an invitation. The Five of Wands asks us to truly humble our ego ourselves with our presentations and how we communicate. This is actually a signal that diversity in thought and tactic is needed! No one person holds all the answers. Collaboration is beautiful. Knowing and respecting that much can be brought to the table from a vast array of experiences and energies, expect that transformation is possible.

I like to believe that I always have space for others. I like to believe I check my ego on a regular basis. However, I sometimes have a tendency to believe that, out of self preservation, I know best. I am truly blessed by my cohorts, communities, friends, lovers, and allies on a regular basis. We get to hold the knowledge we receive and understand together. This card, to me, is a remind of how essential the Collective is. There is strength in needing one another. We only moved forward together.

I think I’ll have fun by applying this succinctly, with Mercury moving into the Gemini this week, by seeking out deep conversation, brainstorming, and advice from my loved ones! Invite yourself to expand a bit more and realize there is no need to be so set in your ways.
