Two of Cups

Ahh, the Two of Cups is here! It is an invitation of trusting of your unions and the expansiveness of care. I like to focus less on the typical romantic or normative meanings, especially when it is a single card reading, because Tarot truly holds so much more.

When I think of how the Two of Cups applies to me, it isn’t about a new romance or proposal, it’s about an honoring of the unions, relationships, and partnerships I am already in, how they flow and what else I should hold myself open to!

We see two people, wrists intertwined, enticing one another to their cup to drink from. I picture in my head two cups refilling each other. Plentiful, abundant—a shared resource. I think of mutual aid, long phone calls, shared meals, swapping books, picking up the tab… I could go on!

Two of Cups is a reminder here that union is truly the most powerful way we can move through this world with one another, not behind, not around, not in front of, but beside. Respect, admiration, shared values and shared resources is actually what fulfills the cycle of life.

Let us all be more intentional with our connections and how we participate in the cycles!
